The end of Apocrypha

Beginning on December 1, 2020, we began the Dark Advent, a countdown to the apocalypse scheduled for December 31, 2020—a day that’s 666 days from the release of the full Apocrypha game. Solving the puzzles in the game would prevent, or at least delay, the apocalypse. What follows are all the daily tweets from our main Twitter account and our ravens Huginn The Raven and Muninn The Raven.

To solve these puzzles, you will need a copy of all three game boxes (The World, The Flesh, and The Devil), their promo cards, and the mini-expansion The Book of the Hybrids. You can also use the Steganographer’s Guide and the Puzzle Solver’s Pack. if you are reading this on a mobile device, scroll down and click each day’s button.

Lone Shark Games:
Citizens of Apocrypha! We begin the Dark Advent as we approach December 31, Day 666 since we released the full game. Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven will help you decode the game’s puzzles so you can stop the apocalypse in time. You’ll need the game to solve them. Here’s one now.

Huginn the Raven:
Hello! I am Huginn, the Raven of Thought. I’ll post my thoughts on each day’s the Dark Advent clue. I don’t know the answers, so don’t tell me! For that, talk to Muninn the Raven. Today, that guitar pick looks familiar. I saw it on a lyric sheet. There are three of those in the game.

Muninn the Raven:
I, Muninn the Raven, am the Raven of Memory. Unlike Huginn the Raven, I remember answers.

We are putting the Advent in “Adventure Card Game” with Apocrypha’s Dark Advent. Today we begin the 18 puzzles from each saint in the game. The sunslinger Evangeline Rose’s puzzle is today. As always, our ravens Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven know the score.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Evangeline Rose’s Dark Advent puzzle: This is a game where you don’t just suffer one death. Some visions are from real people’s life after death experiences. But I expect you’ll need all of them for this one. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Muninn the Raven:
My brother Huginn the Raven may give you thoughts, but I remember answers.

Day 3 of the Dark Advent is upon us. We’re using the pages from the Apocrypha Steganographer’s Guide to solve puzzles that help prevent the apocalypse on December 31. Our Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven will provide some aid. Today’s puzzle Is from our black hat hacker Sam Yee.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Sam Yee’s Dark Advent puzzle: Sam is a master of Boolean illogic. If there’s one thing you can count on in these hellacious, fallacious times, it’s your trusty sophometer. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Muninn the Raven:
My brother Huginn the Raven may give you thoughts, but I remember answers.

Welcome to Day 4 of the Dark Advent. Catch up on the previous week’s puzzles with Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven. Then tackle today’s puzzle from our one-percenter, Gabriella Vargas. You know the 99 percent of bikers that are law-abiding citizens? Gaby doesn’t.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Gabriella Vargas’s Dark Advent puzzle: Gaby rides under stormy skies. Terror comes on the wing, sometimes in the smallest forms. Look at the cards in this chapter for some airborne annoyances. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Muninn the Raven:
My brother Huginn the Raven may give you thoughts, but I remember answers.

Day 5 of the Apocrypha Adventure Card Game’s Dark Advent is here, featuring our Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven. Today’s puzzle is from our bad cop, Frank Block. If you’ve got werewolves on your block, Frank Block is the man to call. Presuming you’re not a werewolf, that is.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Frank Block’s Dark Advent puzzle: Frank is not the kind of cop to take a break, except for the right offer of tasty foods. Here, when we say we want you to think outside the box, we really mean it. Yum. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Muninn the Raven:
My brother Huginn the Raven may give you thoughts, but I remember answers.

It’s Day 6 of the Dark Advent for Apocrypha. Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven are perched on a post ready to assist. Our puzzle today is from our paleoherpetologist Israel Diaz, freshly returned from a dig at a dragon-infested pyramid. It probably didn’t trigger the apocalypse.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Israel Diaz’s Dark Advent puzzle: Weirdly, you’d think this puzzle was for Mr. Block, not Mr. Diaz. But anyway, there’s another such object elsewhere. Add that to these and you’ll have most of what you need. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Muninn the Raven:
My brother Huginn the Raven may give you thoughts, but I remember answers.

We’ve reached the end of our first week of Apocrypha’s Dark Advent. In the background, our crows Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven cackle with amusement. Today, we turn to circus attraction Innertubes the Clown, who thrills the tourists with acts of buffoonery and skill.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Innertubes the Clown’s Dark Advent puzzle: There’s a lot to juggle on this one. Look closely at Lucky Ball and you’ll learn a lot about the flavorful journey you’re fortunate enough to take through every card. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Ruby Doomsday’s Dark Advent puzzle: She’s a good kid. She keeps track of all her friends, even a couple that are hard to reach. All of them have certain vital statistics. Use those and you’ll hit your marks. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Bobak “Zak” Zakaluzny’s Dark Advent puzzle: I don’t think you’ll need much help with this one, though you might need help to stay awake. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Ten days down in Apocrypha’s Dark Advent, which means a mere three weeks till the apocalypse. Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven are savoring the tension with a meal of beat reporter Alice Moon’s puzzle. She’s dug up some dirt that you’re not going to believe. You should, tho.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Alice Moon’s Dark Advent puzzle: Those readings on your psychronometer are alarming. Maybe you should take another reading. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Apocrypha’s Dark Advent is now 11 days old. Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven celebrate this occasion with a dose of karmacologist Ophelia Willows’s psychic medicine. Say, your aura’s looking a little chartreuse lately. Is that bad? Well, if you have to ask…

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Ophelia Willows’s Dark Advent puzzle: We believe in the healing energy of music. A lot of cards also pulse with that energy. We don’t hide our fandom here at Bird Central; we let it burn brightly. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

We are at the midpoint of Apocrypha’s Dark Advent, though the apocalypse is another 7 days after that. Day 12 sees Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven stealing some shiny objects, as ravens do. Speaking of stealing, gentleman burglar Matthew Lockehart has his eyes on the prize.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Matthew Lockehart’s Dark Advent puzzle: Those are some shiny baubles. They appear elsewhere too, though you may have to clear away what’s in front of them. When you do, the sky’s the limit. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Juniper Flowers’s Dark Advent puzzle: The Apocalyptex tracks six apocalyptic battles, four of which have occurred, one which the armies of the Fae now gather for, and one in the far future. Assuming we get one. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on River Batiste’s Dark Advent puzzle: “Night Things” ought to scare up a surprising addition to your life. There are more like that in your game. When you find them, start by leaving the night behind. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Doctor Zeez’s Dark Advent puzzle: The Physicians sport many doctors, but only one keeps an eye out for her subjects like this one does. Chart your progress and see what she sees. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

18 is a composite number, a Harshad number, an abundant number, and a solitary number. It’s also the day of this Apocrypha Dark Advent. Huginn the Raven and Muninn the Raven have flown into MIT’s infinite corridor to check on the research of non-Euclidean geometer Professor Byron.

Huginn the Raven:
Posting my thoughts on Professor Byron’s Dark Advent puzzle: The Professor is an expert in M-theory, but you won’t need 11 dimensions to figure out this math. Post your encoded answers to Muninn the Raven.

Huginn the Raven:
